Here, TAO. This is a good resource for people with autistic traits, and people who don't have a native grasp of American English.

Yes I know, it's just I had not heard of that idiom before. I was able to figure out it was one though. I'm sure there's some idioms I know that you haven't heard of either, it's just a matter of getting to know them.

It just means "over defining" a point. Being "nit picky". Pointing out an irrelevant difference. Something I'm often guilty of.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Difficulty using an intuitive approach to understanding idioms is an autistic characteristic.

No TAO. It was just an attempt at humor on my part. Your posts have been just dandy (although I don't agree with everything you said). I'm the only "hairsplitter" on this topic.

MCB... if you want to get diagnosed, you don't go online. You see someone in person. It's very easy to mistake the symptoms of AS's.

Well, you say it. You show the symptoms. Autism is a much more severe disorder, often associated with serious intellectual deficits. I would rather be conservative in being in accord with your diagnosis.

That's why it's Aspies, and not Autism. It's a type of category that tends to be less severe... and doesn't have as many problems dealing with the regular world.
