In the face of madness, rationality has no power - Xiao Wang, US historiographer, 2287 AD.
Every record...falsified, every book rewritten...every statue...has been renamed or torn down, every date...altered...the process is continuing...minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Ideology is always right.

Then by your own admission, what you wrote previously was incorrect. Jews had a concept of hell, even if it came "later."
It evolved later, like all religious beliefs, but it's not found in the Old Testament.
Calculus Crusader wrote: No. You have "just enough of learning to misquote" when it comes to the Bible. "Hebraic Christianity of the Gospels" vs. "very different Pauline Christianity." LOL. Where do you get this ****? Spong?
That was the smallest of my criticisms, but the many stark contradictions between Paul and Jesus (or his story tellers) should be enough for any intelligent reader. They're describing two very different religions.
Jesus' teachings sound a lot like the beliefs of the Ebionite Christian sect, while Paul's teachings are of course much more indicative of the beliefs of the Pauline Christians.

No, you provide weak apologetics, Simon style. Admittedly without the bitching.
You wouldn't recognize a good counter argument if it dropped on you like an anvil. Your background, which is cobbled together from various discredited and/or disputed ideas found on the internet, is not sufficient.

Discredited by whom? You?
You're a weak apologist, don't give yourself airs. You obviously have very little familiarity with the issues I've raised. I would suggest that you familiarize yourself with them quickly before you put your foot any further into your mouth.

Don't flatter yourself dumb ass. I've had classes in both the Old Testament and New Testament at a secular university. MY Old Testament professor, who was also my Greek prof and my Ancient Greek religion prof, went to Brandeis, then Harvard. I've read standard textbooks like Norman Gottwald's The Hebrew Bible: A Socio-Literary Introduction and Bart Ehrman's The New Testament: A Historical Introduction to the Early Christian Writings and his A Brief Introduction to the New Testament in addition to many, many other books and articles. I'm light years ahead of you on this topic (and just about every other topics about which I've seen you opine).

An educated person would know better to lead with an ad hominem and end with pedantry. You have yet to demonstrate that your knowledge goes any deeper than shallow talking points.
