I'm not a wine drinker at all! Cooking with wine, yes. Drinking it, never. I'm more of a hard liquor person....

A California grown Sauturnes wine, combined with Italian herbs and garlic makes an excellent marinade and brushing sauce for rotisserie chicken. Maybe the California variation of that Hungarian Tokay wine would work as well, if is isn't too sweet.

white: I like the Italian wines, especially Pinot Grigio
red: I like the South American wines, especially that el cheapo red table wine from Concho y Toro (ha). I also like that cheap little French Merlot from Red Bicycle
I have a fondness for Oregon wines, red or white. :) Depoe Bay's Honeymead dessert wine is very nice for a summer evening out on the deck.
