That's not a very nice thing to say. They're getting married. Who are you to tell them they're not? How would you like someone to say that about your marriage?

The word marriage only legitimately refers to male-female couples; I am not willing to change the definition to spare some people's feelings.

If the pictures don't warm your heart, then I would not expect you to understand.

i suppose I simply did not make the connection that heart warming pictures can strengthen my marriage in such a way. I guess I'm cold and callous but good feelings generated by seeing pictures doesn't strengthen my marriage. Figured he was over-stating it there, but I guess the connection as contrived as you wish to make it can work. Have fun strengthening your marriages through picture looking--most people, including myself get quite bored looking at our wedding photos.

The emotional connection is not contrived, its natural.

Either you get it, or you don't. No big deal.
