OMG! I know that guy! :)

Amazing work!

Yes, CK, I think you have known him all your life. Isn't he closely related to you?

Thanks Blixa. I don't remember if I've mentioned it before, but I was an artist for quite a bit. I made a living doing portraiture for a while and did the editorial cartoons for BYU's student newspaper for a couple years. I even won a national award for one of my cartoons.

I'm pretty sure you must have mentioned this before, because I've always had it in the back of my head when I see your name. It's clear you've got a great knack for portraiture, something I'd like to improve my skills on. When I was riding the train to work, I used to sketch fellow passengers in ink since the shakey train cars provided a good challenge for line drawing. I'd really like to see more of your work if you have an online sketch book or something.

I'm glad you contributed to this fun thread!

I got an idea. I could use my cell phone to take a picture of myself, then send it to one of the most talented artists here for a line drawing, and then I would change my avatar to that drawing. In fact, we could celebrate a new age of this board with such "coming out."

I'm sorry, but I'm not taking requests at this time.

I've put a couple things up on Facebook. If you have an account you can see some pencil and charcoal work here and some of my BYU and church editorial cartoons here.
