Good luck with that. Will's not going to answer you; it's too embarrassing to be caught ala Juliann.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Hope springs eternal! The day may come when Schryver mans up to his past.

Kishkumen:
So, Royal Skousen had a weekend stay at chez Schryver directly after Will's KEP presentation.

Incorrect. Royal, his wife, and son stayed at our guest house in town. As I recall, they arrived Monday afternoon and left Tuesday afternoon. We (the Skousens; my wife and I) attended a performance of Macbeth at the renowned Utah Shakespeare Festival, and had lunch together the following day.

In that time, Skousen spent a few days carefully examining Will's findings.

Incorrect. Royal’s review of my findings preceded my FAIR conference presentation. His later visit was purely social in nature, other than some valuable advice he dispensed, over lunch, on how best to deal with the frequent vagaries of academia.

And now Will would have us believe that this unheard of degree of personal attention over several days does not add up to mentorship or benefaction.

The facts of the case are rather simple: I have, with very few exceptions, been “on my own” when it comes to my research into the KEP. I have not been “mentored” to any appreciable degree by anyone, although (as I mentioned above) I did profit from Professor Skousen’s candid description of the halls of academia.

… it could be that the whole Skousen-Schryver weekend retreat for Book of Abraham studies undertaken to protect the faith claims of the Church was a complete lie that Will tried to foist on us …

There was no “weekend retreat for Book of Abraham studies.” As with most things that pass for “facts” in this place, this entire thread is a prime example of how fantasy is transformed into “reality” by the natives of The Great and Spacious Trailer Park©.

Nomad said that the Skousens had been staying with the Schryvers for the weekend, but Will's report contradicts his version in that the sleepover has suddenly turned into a long phone call! Huh. Interesting. What is up with this? Did Will embellish his story for his fawning minion, only to dial it back when he had to write it himself? Was there ever a weekend stay? Ever a conversation?

<sigh>

The performance of Macbeth was Monday, August 9th. My post referring to a long phone conversation with Royal “this past weekend” was dated Wednesday August 25th. Armed with a calendar, you should be able to figure this one out.

Anyway, notwithstanding my enduring fascination with the apostate evangelist mind, I’m afraid you will all have to carry on without me, at least for the time being. I have better things to do today than bang my head against the impenetrable walls of reality-impaired Mormon-apostate conspiracy theorists.
I thought myself the wiser to have viewed the evidence left of such a great demise. I followed every step. But the only thing I ever learned before the journey's end was there was nothing there to learn, only something to forget.

Seems Will just threw himself (a.k.a. Nomad) under the bus.

... she said that she was ready to drive up to Salt Lake City and confront ... Church leaders ... while well armed. The idea was ... dropped ... [because] she didn't have a 12 gauge with her.

He does? Where? How?

I think you probably should cut back on your marijuana use.
