The National Geographic has a pretty good (very basic) primer on the science behind this stuff:

Ugo Perego is an LDS scientist and he has openly admitted that the A, B, C D and X lineages found in American Indians have been in the Americas for over 15,000 years and are not derived from Israel. How about you read your own LDS apologetics. http://www.fairlds.org/Book_of_Mormon/B ... d_DNA.html

Simon Southerton wrote:The assumptions you describe above are not mine. They may be the assumptions of Thomas Murphy but why pin them on me? I have never demanded that we must find the CMH in the Americas. Any Semitic DNA would do.

stemelbow wrote: But it was a good example of making an assumption about what we should expect to see among modern Native Americans if the Book of Mormon story is true. Either way, you simply can’t assume you would know what to expect, just like Murphy.

You accuse me of making assumptions someone else makes and then don't have the decency to apologize for your error.

Um no mate. This is where it ends with you.

Wait... you begin a thread, then chicken out when some valid points are brought up in opposition to yours?

Where?

Where what? Why is Dr. Southerton retreating in light of stemelbow's arguments?

Edited to add proper title.

Yeah. Indeed. More Mopologetic games and Simon B wants to make it seem like the rational participant turned tail and fled. Rather, Simon S got tired of talking to bad Mopologetic A.I. software.

Stemelbow is A.I. software, too?

Wow! Is everyone you don't agree with A.I. software?

I can only assume because Stem hasn't properly considered the very sources he is pointing to and the degree to which they do not, in fact, contradict anything that Simon has asserted.

I just assume, for the sake of sparing the feelings of people that I otherwise like, that you guys just flip a switch and have your cheapo Mopologetic software post for you at certain points. I would hate to think that you guys actually believe the garbage you are spouting at those times. So really, it is all about how much I otherwise like you fellows.
