Oh, wow.... I am ROFLOL!!! "Wade Jr.".... How freaking perfect. This is a classic.... Lol....

I didn't mean it as an insult. I kinda like Wade, in a cousin-only-seen-at-5-yr-family-reunions kinda way.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Regardless, the comparison is utterly priceless and perfect.

Unless you mean raising your arm to the square and commanding them to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. If that is what you mean, then I would agree. Every good Mormon knows how to do that!

I don't mean in the sense of talking about your life. I mean in the sense of being tempted and the interactions involved.

You mean like a symbolic "fighting your inner demons" type thing?

No, I mean real devils and real internal mental argument.

Huh. I'm not sure that is a "normal" LDS faith experience.

The Nehor wrote:By that you mean the BIG issues stemming from obscure details of Church history. I know the drill.

You couldn't be more ignorant. You "know" the drill because you know the truth. Even Dr. Peterson admitted most Mormons don't know the truth about history. Let's try a few:

Ask any devout LDS member if they know these truths:

1) Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon using seer stones he used for hire before the Book of Mormon out of a stove-pipe hat.
2) Joseph Smith "translated" the Book of Abraham from the pagan book of the dead, and his translations were 100% wrong.
3) Joseph Smith practiced polygamy/polyandry to include marrying 14 year old girls and the wives of men he'd sent off on missions.
4) Joseph Smith "translated" the Kinderhook plates to tell of the descendant of Ham.. a known hoax.
5) Joseph Smith carried a Jupiter talisman that had the direct (incorrect) markings from an occult book.
6) Joseph Smith promised eternal salvation to the parents of Sarah Ann Whitney (then 17) for "giving" her to him. His letter to them outlines the only condition they would not be "safe" to visit is if his wife Emma were there... the only condition.

Acknowledge these truths Nehor, and if you "know the drill" it's one you choose to ignore. To argue Mormons know what you do is absurd, and a point Dr. Daniel Peterson's statements directly contradict.

What??? Nehor, I'm really trying to understand your posts. Please try to be a little more articulate. I'm sure you have some real interesting points, but as of yet, I don't know what they are.

They probably wouldn't describe it in those words but yes, it is a "normal" LDS (and everyone else) experience.

Can you describe what these real devils that most normal LDS people see, including you, look like?

Is Polygamy doctrinal?

In the sense that it is being taught now, no.

What part of my answer wasn't clear?

Is D&C teaching?
Is chapter 132 excluded?
Does say the "Official Declaration—1" that chapter 132 is no more valid?
