Mormon Discussions: The Music Collection

Post by _Kishkumen »

In the recent poll, "MDB poster most likely to become a rock star," it has come to our attention that we have a number of amateur musicians in our midst, and some of them are actually good (not I, but others). I propose that we put together a CD of the music of the contributors to the board, and sell it to raise a few bucks for a good cause we can collectively decide upon.

So, I would like to open up a discussion about the possibility of doing this. I have some software that I could use to "Master" the collection, but if anyone has more experience doing that, I would gladly yield to their expertise. We could also enlist our resident artists to design a cover.

Thoughts?

Based on the "draw your favorite poster" thread - there's some fine artistic talent on this board for a good cover.

Indeed! And we could have more than one piece of cover art, so we could get more people involved.

Will Schryver has recorded some of his own music.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

Will's touchstone lyric would be J-Z's, "I got 99 problems but the bitch ain't one"
