TBMs: Is your Devotion to the Mormon god misplaced?
TBMs, give your best explanation why your devotion to the Mormon god, vis-a-vis the descriptions of gods by other religions and schools of religious thought, is appropriate and not misplaced. Please focus on the aspects/qualities of god per Mormonism that differ from the god per other denominations and theologies.

The Mormon God is the same as the Judeo-Christian-Islamic God, although every group has added their own special qualities, attributes and communications.

Does the Judeo-Christian-Islamic world think god was once a man?

I challenge you to ask any non-momo-"Judeo-christian" if the god they worship is anything like elohim of LDSism...Here are a few relevant questions:
- Was your god once a man?
- Is your god 1 among numerous other gods?
- Is your god the father of both Jesus and satan?
- Does your god have many goddess wives?
- Does your god require special handshakes in order to return to live with him?
- Did your god ever endorse polyandry (as practiced by Joseph Smith)?
- Does your god endorse 1 religious franchise in the world?
- Did/does your god use skin color to "curse" people?
- Does your god provide tough answers to tough questions with easily misinterpreted emotional responses?
- Etc, etc, etc....
Return and report....

That is where the special added qualities, attributes and communications comes into play. Each group and sub-group has their uniqueness.

You know, except for the philosophers in each group, the group members would list different questions based on their uniqueness and perception of God. These are but questions based on your experience. There will always be difference and similarity. In the end, you end up talking about the God of Abraham.
The philosophers? They would be talking about some other subject altogether.

What? Most "judeo-christian" would answer those questions completely differently than members of LDS church (although it seems that most LDS don't even really know what the LDS church teaches regarding those subjects these days)...I though LDS were proud of the fact that they are a "peculiar" people - why do you want to pretend like LDS beliefs are "similar" to the beliefs of other churches when you guys have made such an effort to separate yourselves from the apostate branches of "judeo"-christianity in favor of Joe's restored/revised version of Christianity?

The Mormon God can also be refered to as 'Adam',
That kind of makes it difficult to believe that the Temple movie where God speaks with Adam and Eve is an accurate portrayal.
Or was that just the Mormon God inspiring His Prophet at the time to teach false doctrine...
