The perils of missionary work

Post by _Runtu »

My coworker has a friend with an adult, mentally disabled child. When she has to leave the house, he usually calls her every couple of minutes on her cell phone, asking questions and telling her what he's doing.

Recently, she left for a couple of hours, and there were no phone calls. Finally, he called and said, "Mom, guess what? I caught a troll! I locked him in the basement, and I'm feeding him skittles under the door."

She quickly went home to discover a dwarf Jehovah's Witness, whom her son had lured into the basement somehow and locked the door. He would slide skittles, one at a time, under the door to feed his new pet.

I don't blame him, dwarfs can be crafty.

And a little sad.

I was hoping for the rest of the story. She did let him out when she got home (I hope) or are they still pushing skittles under the door?

Why isn't this thread a poll?

Last report was that he remains locked in the basement and that the green skittles are being returned under the same door.
