My list, you are on it....

My apologies schreech. I didn't realize how big a Joy Behar fan you were. I guess she is kind of hot if you squint your eyes and stand back from the the monitor several yards. :)

My favorite aspect is that Mormonism's origins are recent enough and at a time in history that records were frequently made and kept. Unlike many, much older religions that have nothing more than a myth sanitized by time about their origins. Mormonism has tried to whitewash its history, and may have even intentionally destroyed some of it. But enough exists that we can look at it, warts and all, and get a much clearer picture of what was going on. I don't think that New Testament we have today gives a very accurate picture of whatever might have taken place, if anything, in that timeframe.

I like their view of the afterlife, at least relatively speaking; Three degrees of glory, each more wonderful than the last. I know some Christians who preach a Dante-like hell is in store for most of humanity. Imagine, living your life with the belief that many of the people you see each day have such a fate.

I love the kindness Church members often show for others.

Good choice, bluedream.

to me a nevermo who has over 30 years attending 3hr blocs with my wife, the exciting thing about morminism is "everything that goes on" for the chapel Mormons who like stepword wives and energizer bunnies just keep on being sweet and tender and helpful to each other, loving every moment of the "one true church" and the self congratulatory feelings of "i'm Spechul" and i know its true-cultural brainwashing at its finest.

for the borderlands or almost apostates and for me the nevermo- NOTHING IS EXCITING!

it is painful, painful painful to just be there and listen, feel the BS poured out. and it painful for me to see my my wife buy in hook, line and sinker just like she has bought iraqi dinars over the internet and waiting for that "Re-evaluation"" that will make her amillionaire which of course is going to happen any day-Right!

It's hard to think of any aspect of the LDS faith that could top Mormon potatoes or lime jello with carrot shavings.

Excuse me, the best part about Mormon culture is the food.

The best part about Mormon doctrine is the idea that anyone can be an angel.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

I hope that is sarcasm, harmony. When I was a kid in Utah and invited over to a Mormon friend's house for dinner, it often consisted of a hot dog (no bun), canned peas and Kool Aid. Maybe a slice of Wonder Bread.
