It's code for....

Post by _LDSToronto »

I'm in bishopric training meeting, as I type, and I just had an 'awakening' of sorts. Every time I've heard someone in a leadership position talk about bishops spending more time with youth, that is usually code for spending more time making certain young men serve missions. Again, tonight, the training was about 'spending more time with youth', and young women were not mentioned once. Not even in passing.

I can't even recall the last time the focus was on strengthening young women, or re-activating young women, or encouraging young women to do anything more than lengthen their hems.

I hope my daughter doesn't mind...

Just posting to note the continuing slide of LDSToronto into apostate oblivion ...
I thought myself the wiser to have viewed the evidence left of such a great demise. I followed every step. But the only thing I ever learned before the journey's end was there was nothing there to learn, only something to forget.

You, of course, mean that Toronto is stepping into broad, sunlit uplands. Oblivion is for those that can't get past their childhood teachings.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

If the leaders in the meetings are all men this makes perfect sense under the LDS paradigm.

Men cannot possibly spend extra time with females. They would all end up fornicating together.

"Apostate oblivion" is an oxymoron like "business ethics" or "honest mopologist."

You can bet you're on the right path if little Willy condemns it. I would take that as a very positive sign.
