I certainly don't care about women's underwear. Those darned Victoria's Secret catalogs full of frilly and skimpy little things that nobody cares about. Smiling, attractive girls dressed in... Um, those catalogs are not mine. I don't know why the mailman brings them here.

You could just have him bring them to my house instead . . .

How many 'workplaces' are there where the workers pay their employer...?

There are two work places I am aware of here in the Piedmont Triad area that require "hose and heels". One is a law firm in Winston. The other is a business school in Greensboro.

I wouldn't be caught dead working at either one.

Another reason I would never work for the Church. There is nothing wrong with women wearing pant suits to work. The idea that they have to wear dresses or skirts is archaic.

I wear pant suits to work every day, and I can tell you that I look a lot more professional than most of my colleagues at Church on Sunday. I never understood the concept of a Pendelton pant suit being shocking, but a jean jumper and sandals being acceptable.

To Simon's point....These companies explain their dress code BEFORE you are hired. The employee knows what he/she is getting into before applying.

In my job preparation workshops, I always advise my students to find out as much information about the business culture of the company they are interviewing with. That way, they will know whether or not it is a company they are comfortable working for.
