Pleased to see you back on the forum, LostinDC. Thanks for the update. Hopefully moving to a new ward will make your transition of faith easier. I rarely participate on the boards anymore, but if you ever need to talk, my email is mike_g_reed at yahoo dot com. And if you are ever in Northern California, look me up. I'd love to have lunch/dinner with you sometime.
After my fallout, sorting out my own "Mormon" identity has been an interesting process; a process that I still seem to be in. But as challenging as it may be at times, I am really enjoying the journey, and I am learning a lot about myself. Thankfully I have Sunstone, JWHA, and Restoration Studies conferences to help me feel at home, and remind me that "Mormonism" is a much larger umbrella than the self-anointed-guardians-of-LDS-"orthodoxy" may want us to believe.
Hey guys what did I miss?

Nah ... you're still just a pup.
Give it another year or so.
Have Runtu take you out on a hunt and show you the ropes.
Runtu is a master at it that is for sure.
I actually thought about being a wolf in sheeps clothing so I could help others out of church because I knew they hated going to church but they just keep going because they believe it is what it claims to be. I decided not to be a wolf in sheeps clothing because I could not handle sitting through church anymore listening to the BS.
I guess Runtu just has more charity then me and is much more knowledgeable about church history.

So true.
But Runtu represents the very unusual case of a vegetarian wolf.
He's not into the ambushing, rending of flesh, etc., but he does get off on watching others with blood and gore and guts and veins in their teeth.
I thought myself the wiser to have viewed the evidence left of such a great demise. I followed every step. But the only thing I ever learned before the journey's end was there was nothing there to learn, only something to forget.
