Why is the lion's lair shaped like a pig? Cool though.

The Lion Monument (German: Löwendenkmal), or the Lion of Lucerne, is a sculpture in Lucerne, Switzerland, designed by Bertel Thorvaldsen. It commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution, when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris, France. The American writer Mark Twain (1835–1910) praised the sculpture of a mortally-wounded lion as "the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world."[1]

I've seen this... no magic.

If you are in Salt Lake today go outside for a second and look at Mount Olympus....The Apocalrock and see the face of God front and center in profile facing left, and the female image included to the right which shares the same eye with the masculine male.

Nightlion, so sorry, but last fall a group of us climbed Mt. Olympus and accidentally started a few large rock-slides. What you see in that mountain if not for erosion may just be from our accidental rock-slides. So sorry to have burst your bubble.

My Lord is all in all. Your "accidental" rock slides could very well have been inspired of God to add something to this Oldest Anthropological Archaeological Relic of all time to prepare yet another message cut out of the mountain without hands. Feet maybe, just no hands.

I offer you a piece of toasted bread and you refuse to eat because the light and shadow of the toast reminds you of something religious. I am fairly certain you can easily pick out religious imagery in many more things than just a mountain.

It's not Mount Olympus that is special, it is clearly you that is special!

thews already gave you the wiki link explaining the origin of the monument, but not the part pertinent to the pig shape of the lair:

Before completing the monument, the artist, Bertel Thorvaldsen, was told that not enough money had been raised to pay for his services and that he would not be fully paid for his work. Thorvaldsen wanted to make a public statement about his disdain for the situation. Out of respect for the fallen soldiers he chose not to damage the sculpture itself and decided instead to change the shape of the nook the lion lay inside. The outside edge remains in the shape of a pig to this day; a subtle but clear message of his feelings.
From the Ernest L. Wilkinson Diaries: "ELW dreams he's spattered w/ grease. Hundreds steal his greasy pants."

Simply and profoundly outstanding.
