Hmm. You know, the words "poison pen campaign" weren't found anywhere in the e-mail I received today. The words "well-written," "well-argued," and "thank you" were.
It doesn't sound like the people at the Maxwell Institute agree with your assessment of this thread.
I wonder why that is.

The only thing I find unfortunate is that you seem to think so little of the Maxwell Institute for choosing to take concerns about misogyny in academia seriously. But, you are just one anonymous man on the Internet, so I doubt the MI is very concerned with your disdain for their decision.
by the way, this is really strange, maybe you could clear something up for me: I've been posting on Internet message boards for nearly thirteen years now, and only two people have ever referred to me as "Auntie Jack." One of them was FARMS Review of Books contributor (Moderator Note) in real life information deleted, who, in July of last year, registered an account by that name at the Mormon Apologetics & Discussion Board (now known as the Mormon Dialogue & Discussion Board) in order to address a situation that had come up involving him. The other is, just now, you.
Is there any chance (Moderator Note) in real life information deleted is someone you know? I mean, I find it hard to believe there's no connection here.
In any case, when he began calling me "Auntie Jack" last year, I politely and respectfully asked (Moderator Note) in real life information deleted not to refer to me by that nickname. I now make the same request of you.
