No comment from the Mormon Right Wingers?
Apparently the Church likes to indulge in socialistic activity when it can get away with it.

No, and there won't be.
The UK example of an LDS-owned corporation getting a massive handout from the British taxpayer is unanswerable. The sign of an an unanswerable post is that you don't get any answers, and the thread sinks like the Titanic after it hit the iceberg.

I never understood why you use the handle "Harmony". Your antagonism, wild accusations (often with little to no bases in any sense of reality) and your temper tantrums have never been in harmony with anything.
Harmony is a sense of peace, calmness. Being "in harmony".
I'd advise you change your handle to chaos. :)

What should you change your handle to, jskains? Here is a totally neutral party from a site outside of MDB commenting on you and your personality:
C.J. McBride wrote:I cannot help but see how confrontational Joshua Skains is in his postings here.
I personally know Joshua as I was an active Mormon for many years and remember him well from when I was a member of his church.
As unlikable as he is online, I can assure you that he is a thousand times worse in person. He is a pompous know-it-all with and arrogant about it. The fact that he has an angry scowl on his face most of the time doesn’t help either.
At church he had very few friends other than those who were in authority. Most of his peers had little, if anything in common with him. No one paid that much attention to him.
He also has a real mean streak in him and holds a grudge. I ran into him a few years after I left the LDS church and he still remembered in exact detail the things that I had once said about his church that he found so offensive.
I’m sure everyone reading his comments can make the fair assumption that he’s a miserable human being. I can tell everyone that they don’t have to assume that…. He’s the most pathetic person I’ve ever known.

What do you have to say about this? And by the way: have you ever apologized for your disgustingly racist remarks to Ms. Natalie Collins?

LOL, I won 5 bucks. A couple of us were betting on if you'd try that old trick again. It's like reading a cheap romance novel. The plots are all identical. ANd your running like clockwork...
It's like you go through the same boring rounds of the same boring attacks.
And no, that is not a neutral site at all. It's a cheerleading group for a woman who writes hateful and bigoted novels spreading lies about the LDS Church. One of her books is about men dragging women into LDS temples and raping them. Classy.
Like someone else posted... Scratch is running low on material.

Jskains, what this is really all about is your unwillingness to accept accountability for your behavior. Where is the humility? Where is the Christ-like meekness of spirit? Furthermore, regardless of what you happen to think of Ms. Collins's novels, you surely must recognize that your "Trapped by the N******" retort was completely out of line. Until you account for things like this, they'll never, ever go away.
And in any case, it's highly ironic that you're now complaining about "the same boring rounds of the same boring attacks." According to C.J. McBride, that's precisely *your* M.O.

Re: Mormon Church negotiates for Italian Welfare!
by the way, for your own information, Scratch, that person who claims to know me is a guy I met in singles ward. His name is Courtney (Court is what he wanted to be called). He has terrets syndrome and used to make ugly anti-women comments about things like how they need to stay in the kitchen thinking that was funny. That mean streak he is commenting is when I confronted him about his behavior. He then went around telling people I was his mortal enemy (his words). When he decided to leave the church, he would harass everyone, demanding they must be stupid if they didn't leave the Church with him. When was in a car accident, a mutual friend came to pick me up. As we were driving to a local restaurant, he tried to start a fight with me about the Church. I asked him to keep it to himself as I was still in shock over the accident. His response? "That ambulance you decided not to take? How about I put you in it?"
Years later, he found me on Facebook. He started sending me emails about his homosexuality and started sending me sexually suggestive stuff. It got so bad, I talked to his father, who shut him up.
But as usual, Scratch, you do not have all the facts in hand. You take tidbits of information and use them as weapons. I know you have your own ego problems and need this kind of attention, but at least get real facts before you go half cocked as usual and try to sound witty with your own delusional mouthing off.
But I am not shocked that your sources end up being things like someone who used to sexually harass me. It's consistent with the rest of your magical informants.

What is funny is you have an illusion of self-importance. You're the only one obsessed with this as most people I care about not only think it was Collins who was out of line for posting it and distorting what I said, but actually agreed with my point. One guy I know who is a good friend of mine who is also black even agreed with me.
As he said, "Your right Josh. The hypocrisy of America throwing a tantrum over racist books while perfectly content with anti-religious books is embarrassing".
What is sad, Scratch, is your embarrassing attempt to speak for African Americans. It's almost as if you think you have an understanding of what it means to be racially attacked and are using their plight for your own games. That's far worse and far more embarrassing. When will you take responsibility for those types of actions?

Certainly the fact that at least in the USA a person can take a deduction when computing their income tax obligation for the tithing and other church contributions they make ( as well as contributions to other Church's and qualifying charities) is a form of a "subsidy" by the government. The same is true for the real estate industry because of the deduction that one can take for mortgage interest and real estate taxes claimed.

Re: Mormon Church negotiates for Italian Welfare!
Hi there, jskains. A number of the things you've said here are rather peculiar. Let's examine them in more detail, shall we?
It's unclear to me why you're hauling this man's disability into the discussion. That seems like quite a cheap shot, jskains.
Huh? What a bizarre story this is... Why, if "Court" was your "mortal enemy," would he be riding in a car to pick you up from an accident? To be frank, Jskains, this sounds made up.
Again: why would your so-called "mortal enemy" be sending you "emails about his homosexuality"? That makes absolutely zero sense. It is so nonsensical that I'm beginning to think that you're lying on the spot in an effort to cover your behind.
Then again, perhaps you can produce these "emails"?
jskains---all I did was reference what seemed to me to be a relevant and interesting commentary by a neutral observer of your behavior. I'm not at all convinced that you know this person. I mean, perhaps you do, but I rather suspect that you are grossly distorting his behavior. Then again, maybe you have evidence that would help to back up your characterization of this person? Do you?
I mean, what if it were to get back to C.J. McBride that you said these things?
That's an extremely serious charge, jskains, and it could potentially be actionable. I hope you have evidence to back up what you've said.
