You don't think accusing an organization of being sexist is serious? We can leave aside the priesthood issue (which is serious) if you really want to. What about all of the sexist lessons that the Church teaches girls, like the licked cupcake one I've already mentioned? Or all the nonsense about how chastity and virtue are of paramount importance? Even girls that are raped will feel like they have lost something because of the fetish the Mormon church has for virginity. Non-virgin girls are called "used cars" by many people in the church.

Well, Jesus isn't in the hymen making business.

Although, in the LDS religion (and most of modern christianity) the term "virgin" is applied to males, not just females. So boys have just as much guilt and shame over sex outside of marriage. I know of guys who still feel guilty and ashamed years afterwards even though they have since been sealed in the temple.
I know LDS who don't even like to let people know their wedding date in relation to the age of their oldest child because it ain't no 9 month difference and they are STILL ashamed decades later.

The fact is LDS people have sex before marriage just like other people have. They just happen to have the most guilt over it.

Afterall, better to come home in a pine box than without your sexual purity.

I'm always amazed that Elder Braxton down the street has any authority at all, let alone some kind of title in his church.
