I've read every book that exists on the African Lineage & the Priesthood issue, as well as the relevant surrounding history's. If you want to know said historical citations, read those materials for yourself. Sorry, but I don't have them in front of me (in some library somewhere), I'm just quoting to you history I've read for myself. I'm not making it up.

I was always taught at church that we are all unique individuals who each have a mission to fill that no one else can do the way we could do it. If you don't believe that then that is your own problem.

Never said I don't believe this. But, that is not really the same as what you originally said. Being homosexual is not fulfilling some divine purpose that only a homosexual and perform.

Huh? "Change" is the very nature of life. Who we are are the past, present, and future results of one moment to the next, every changing, experience, thought, choices.

Saying "they have contributed nothing but more wickedness onto the world" and then saying in the next sentence that they do "good" is contradictory. If they contribute good then clearly they contribute more than wickedness.

No, it's not contradictory.... A homosexual isn't simply a homosexual, they are human being with all kinds of aspects, talents, thoughts, skills, standards, etc. to them, like anyone else. In those respects, someone who happens to be a homosexual can do much good in the world. But such has nothing to do with their homosexuality, it's simply part of who they are. All people have good, bad, skills, etc. in them in various degrees, including homosexuals. A person could be near saint in every way, yet be a homosexual, or a murderer, or a child molester, or an adulterer, on and on. Thus, a person can in fact be good and evil. This is why I can be best friends with a gay man and his life partner..... Because I see the good in him, despite his weaknesses and sins.

So, as a homosexual they contribute wickedness, but as a human being the part of them that has nothing to do with homosexuality, they can contribute good also.

You made the claim that homosexuals do things "know-one" else can do.... That however is an untenable claim. Others do all the same things homosexuals do, except sleep with the same sex. I don't see what "value" sleeping with the same sex contributes to the world, do you? Thus, it would be best if you thought before you spoke.

You are not comprehending my comments. I will make myself as clear as I can and be done with this thread. I never used the term "know-one" so I am not sure why you even have that there in quotes.

I said homosexuals as INDIVIDUALS have contributed things nobody else could. This is a true statement. The same can be said for every single INDIVIDUAL that has ever lived. I didn't say they contributed BETTER or MORE, just that as INDIVIDUALS they have made unique contributions that would be lost if they had not existed. Just as if you did not exist whatever contributions you have made would be lost.

Let me give an example. If Elton John was not homosexual his contribution to the field of music would not exist in its current form. Now, you might say "who cares, no big deal." That would be fine. However, if you then begin to take away every single contribution made by a person who was homosexual our world would lose something. It would be different than it is today. We would lose a great deal of poetry, music, artwork, literature, dance, films, religious and philisophical concepts, inventions, world leaders, etc, etc, etc.

We are all a sum of our parts. Take away any of the parts and we are different. Yes, we change throughout our lives. That is part of our being...how we manifest in the universe. Being gay or straight goes far deeper than who we choose to sleep with. It is a part of our personality and how our brain and chemistry operate.

Unlike you I do believe that sex has value. Damn, it is fun, cheap and good for your health. Beyond that LOVE is very valuable to most people. Sex can be a beautiful expression of love.
