Yeah, Angry McAngerton: Smear people uncontested, like Scratch does.

Uncontested? I think you have me confused with Pahoran and Will Schryver's smears on a forum where I am forbidden to respond.

You should have behaved yourself... you might not have been banned if you had.

How does creating a blog post on something amount to "smearing people uncontested," particularly if the blogger allows comments and trackbacks on the post?

By the way, you do know that he was angrier when he was an LDS apologist, right?

Funny how most (not all) of his peers didn't care about his behavior back then. So long as his angry behavior was directed at critics, hardly anyone said a word.

Now where have I seen something like that before . . .

The more I look into the carefully constructed case against Will, the more I think he's been misrepresented.

Wow. Now that really is pathetic.

LOL.

Sure Simon.

Is that why numerous FAIR apologists stood up for me when I was banned? Some said they thought my remarks were overly gracious, hardly aggressive at all. I was banned for demonstrating why too many of their big name scholars were wrong, and I wouldn't back down when they tried to intimidate me to keep quiet.

I assumed that the comments and trackbacks would be filtered, like Scratch's blog.

But why not say what you have to say here, in the open, where it is easy for people to respond? Why should they have to seek out your blog and start a Blogger account just to contest something you've said?

I say do it here, and now.

By the way, you do know that he was angrier when he was an LDS apologist, right?

No, I don't. I can't speak to that. I didn't know Kevin back then.

In your own, special way, no doubt.

In my case, I did a blog post about what went down between Kevin, myself, Pahoran, and DCP last year because I wanted people at MADB to be able to read my entire case---including what was said on this forum in its original context---and MADB doesn't allow links to this forum. I could link to a blog post linking to this forum, but not to this forum.

Someday, I'll have to post my old journal entries from when I first met Kevin in the late 90s, in his apologetics heyday. I complained about his behavior a lot. Granted, I was a whiny teenager, but he really did strike me as a mean and angry person at the time.

I actually think "apostasy" has mellowed him considerably. Or maybe we're both just getting older and a lot less serious about some things.

I was there. No one said a word of disapproval as long as Kevin was on their team. Come to think of it, I never got criticized for my posting style until I switched teams.

Pahoran dropped his argument and accepted Kevin's explanation, averring only that, given the verbal parallel, the question had been worth asking. How often does anyone on the boards admit to being wrong about anything? I say kudos to Pahoran.

Not often and not often acknowledged. Some folks are reluctant to divert from "the script".
