MDB: A Home for Schryver's Article

Post by _sock puppet »

Will Schryver's KEP work and analysis, whatever it may be, ought to be published. If not NAMIRS or some other 'publication', Will ought to publish it here, on MDB. After a couple of months of digestion here, then we could proceed with Schryver-Metcalf debate.

Lol! Can't imagine why Will wouldn't want to publish his work here.

Well, at least here, he wouldn't be blindsided. He'd know exactly what 'welcome' to expect. It would be bold and brash to do it here--just what I'd expect from Will.

There are plenty of peer-reviewed Mormon Studies venues besides the MI journals where Will can publish his paper, if it's up to their standards.

Indeed. "If" is all that stands in the way.

If none of these other peer-reviewed venues want to publish Will's work, I'm sure he would be welcome with open arms at Huster Magazine.

There's also self-publication, but it's harder to trust the integrity of the editor that way.

My Mormon Discussions Press stock just went up 14% with the rumored publication of Will's paper in pamphlet form. Sell! SELL! SELLLLL!!!!
Whatever appears to be against the Book of Mormon is going to be overturned at some time in the future. So we can be pretty open minded.-charity 3/7/07
