conflicting revelation among families? what is done?

Post by _hatersinmyward »

suppose 50% priesthood holders in different homes have conflicting revelation about a certain subject that affects the spiritual direction their respective families and there is a heated religious debate. 50% take one side and 50% take the other.

I imagine if the subject is left untouched it will cause a faction the leaders will have to face sooner or later.

Does the leadership book have any guidelines regarding this subject?

what happens?

Nehor,

What are you trying to do?

Anyway,

This is what I believe the book must say, though I haven't read it.

The leadership at a higher level will settle the matter. If the other 50% don't like the outcome, too bad. If there are still protests, the upper management steps in with a council and discipline. If there is anyone stubborn enough to continue fighting the issue, then disfellowshipping and ex'ing begins.

But I'm just guessing.

Mock the OP. I thought that was obvious.

Those guys were wasting their time stealing the LDS handbook and putting it online weren't they? :(

And you would be wrong.

Both sides need to learn how to work together despite their disagreements. Tolerance.

Well, if it were my own home, and they were my real brothers and sisters, sons and daughter, we can't just be kicking each other out just because we disagree. . . that's not what "family" is. Family is the people you are stuck with whether you like it or not, because you love them to damned much to be without them.

I assume you are alluding to the war in heaven maybe?
