Simon, why did you take my comments in response to your claim that I am angry as directed at you?

I was actually talking about SWG, Wade, and Droopy.

Look... I'm trying here.

I can't do it alone, obviously, but can you try to have some patience with me and not attack me at every turn?

I don't know if I can get over my hatred for Joseph... but I certainly want to be respectable to everyone else. That is the truth.

I assure you that they are.

You are not following along. (surprise!) Your assurances can't be trusted, given your posts here and on other boards.

I probably just think differently than you do (i.e. I don't hate the LDS church or its people).

Well, that is a given. Nice one, Einstien. ;)

I hate the doctrines. They suck. I don't hate most Mormons.

If you didn't get that, I do think it is o.k. to hate some things and some people.

Does diversity scare you?

It would be pretty tough to work where I do and yet be fearful of diversity.

Simon, I am not sure Joseph has a lot of friends here right now. Taking criticism for attacking him should probably be the least of your worries.

Can he help himself?

(I'm beginning to think not.)

Are we being too generous in hoping that he might stop?

(Probably.)

Does he really believe that his persistent denials of what has been proven time and again will hypnotize us from acknowledging the reality staring us in the face?

(I hate to think the answer is "yes," but that is probably the case.)

I dunno, but it occurs to me that there may just be a very remote possibility that this attitude of 'deny what is staring everybody in the face often enough, and it will go away' may just - and this is nothing more than a wild speculation - be a habit transferred from the way Belmont deals with conflicts in some other department of his thinking.

It might come from his politics, the way he supports his favorite baseball team ... or even ... could it be .... his religion? Unlikely, I know, but I just throw the suggestion out for what it is worth.

Simon keeps getting more pathetic:

I don't know if I can get over my hatred for Joseph... but I certainly want to be respectable to everyone else. That is the truth.

Tell it to your redeemer during the sacrament. Think he will buy it?

Kish, I think you are right. The answer is 'yes.' I wouldn't get near this guy in real life for anything offered in return. Not even a night with Stephanie Seymour. ;)

I beg to differ gramps. A night with Stephanie Seymour? I don't think I'll ever be that old as to think it wouldn't be worth it.

I say ban no one. Sure it would be nice to slough off those posters who regularly contribute nothing of substance, but that's an arguable category.

The one thing I could imagine being a bannable offense is if the majority of a poster's posts were just a string of insults aimed at one poster.
