It comes from a place of love. These are all hard things to deal with. At least I know that is sucked for me to realize that Joseph lied. It made me feel physically ill.
But, believing in a god who would be behind it all is 10 thousand times worse.

Regarding Lesellers' response to your thread, you might wish to point out that the church does not recognize "marriages" that are not legally formalized. They teach that you have to be married legally or it doesn't count.
