I'll bet you that in less than 5 minutes of scanning the MAD board I could find enough images to warrant DMCA take downs to clog an inbox.
Which means Joseph is no doubt doing so right now... surely... fair is fair.
So I say "all y'all" knock off the copyright b***s*** and tone down on the personal attacks.
You mean actually discuss a topic? With... words?
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.
It was publicly published and as such needed to be formally registered within 90 days of publication - if it had not been registered before that time.
I bet the guy never registered the photo with the US Copyright office.
If not, and his 90 days have expired he may have some problems coming up as a result of his actions.
Everyones photos are copyrighted when taken but legal action on pulished photos(as his was) isn't going to get far if he failed to register properly.
Posting links is fine, inserting the photos in your posts is not - unless you have permission, a 'fair use' exception or they are in the public domain.
It is like blemish and his copyright 1985 line. Misuse of copyright can rise to the level of criminal action if you get the right prosecutor on the right day.

at least two of the mod at MD&D are using copyright images, several of the posters on MD&D are using copyright images, I myself use a copyright image on MD&D it is a image taken from Deseretnews just to see how much scott lyod really cared about copyrights, but what is apparent with MD&D the CHI is more important than the law. So while you will be banned for using copyright images from the LDS Church you are free to infringe on non-church images.

I do not visit the board so I don't see the posts there.
I do visit this one.
Why are thieves crying because they are caught and someone else is getting away with it?
“F” off you little tattle tail.
Whatever appears to be against the Book of Mormon is going to be overturned at some time in the future. So we can be pretty open minded.-charity 3/7/07
MASH quotes I peeked in the back [of the Bible] Frank, the Devil did it. I avoid church religiously. This isn't one of my sermons, I expect you to listen.

So touchy about getting caught breaking the law.
But, as a Mormon/former Mormon(most likely) you still don't think the laws apply to you.
what law was broken? making parody of a image is not breaking the law. might want to get yourself edumacated on what the law is before you start pointing fingers.
