My main question is, how did you have a companion for 13 months? I would have killed to have a number of my companions for that long if it meant not having to be companions with oh say 3 of them.

Anyway, its good to hear it went well, or seems to have gone well. I'm sure you'll remain good friends.

That sounds tough, but I think you handled it correctly. My rule is simple: if I don't interact with people a lot, I don't talk about my unbelief. It's sort of a "need to know" thing. And even then, I don't go into detail unless they genuinely want to know; nine times out of ten they just want to argue and convince me believe again.

Some of us spoke very specialized languages....I had the same comp (including the mtc) for over 12 months...there were 6 of us that spoke the language in a mission of 150 people....

by the way zee, you handled it perfectly...I have had several friends confide in me behind their wive's backs...not a good thing to do...

Yeah, that's right, someone who signs himself Brad(ZeeZrom) and who writes on none of the same issues as zeez, or in anything like his writing style, is definitely zeezrom.

whyme, why do you go around picking specious battles?

This must be a Utah thing. When I am it does not matter if one leaves or stays, people will still talk to you. Why would a friend not want to have contact with a friend because they left the church? If such a friend does act in such a way, they are not living according to church teachings.

Hush now, people who actually know something about Mormonism are talking.

For many there is no shock. Would you be surprise if your companion was not shocked? You need to understand zee that for many members who discover these things, they just put into their understanding and still see the big picture. Also, history is always debatable. The apologists do quite well in defending Joseph Smith's polygamy. And certainly the spiritual confirmations that many of these women experienced when they prayed about it. You seem to ignore or downplay these confirmations.

Ask Zee about his spiritual confirmations about Athena.

We've already discussed an interview with two cult teens who received a spiritual confirmation that they were supposed to sleep with their leader (who they said was god).

So much for spiritual confirmations.

You must live in utah. I feel sorry for zee. He seems to ignore the faith promoting aspects of LDS history. And as Don will show during his FAIR presentation, the critic understanding of the kinderhook plates may be overturned. But that will have no effect on zee.

Why me doesn't know about that and does not want to know about it. Stop trying to ruin his Joseph fantasy.
