Thanks Liz. I feel much more empathy for Juliann after reading Dr. Scratch's post. Thinking of others who have experienced turmoil and subsequent heartache makes you understand their human dimension. All of us who had negative experiences on the internet with her should read the Doctor's post.
I just have to say one thing.
When I first heard about Juliann's past, I had the faint hope that the fact that we both suffered through a horrific marriage that included elements of abuse would enable us to get past the forced antipathy. But once Juliann saw me mention, briefly, my own experience in this regard she used my statements to try and score a point against me by insinuating that I was lying or exaggerating, and she'd like to hear my ex-husband's side of the story. I thought that was quite cruel, particularly given that my ex-husband had a diagnosed mental illness.
I'm sure in real life Juliann is different, but on the internet, I really don't think she's capable of connecting on a human level with people she views as enemies of the church.
