Who's Next?

Post by _Droopy »

First, William Schryver came under the withering scrutiny of Aimee Semple McJack, and after succumbing to the righteous indignation of this evangelical Valkyrie, SGW's head has rolled onto PP and Jack's platter.

In the meantime, I and Wade were subjected to very similar treatment in our attempts to point out the moral futility of most of the most aggressive posters here going after William on moral grounds.

Who's next? Who will find themselves suffocating under the next dog-pile of calumny and castigation?

That it will happen, I have little doubt.

It's such a shame. All these innocent people facing completely false accusations. Just a shame. It's not like Schryver actually admitted making most of the statements in question.......

oh wait.....

He admitted making some, a vanishingly small percentage of his whole posting history, here and elsewhere, and apologized for some as well.

The charge of "misogyny" was, as you know full well, nothing more than a bloody red bone thrown to your own bigotry.

Go argue with the Maxwell Institute if you think that the posting history documented by MsJack was a trivial matter. They evidently did not think it was, which is why they dumped Schryver. As the father of a daughter, I don't either. A man like that deserves a kick up the ass to remind him that we are not all 'good old boys' who enjoy that kind of stuff.

As for the 'the act complained of was a vanishingly small percentage of his total acts' argument ... try that on a judge and see how far you get. And while I wish that Schryver's nasty posts had vanished, I have to say that the nastiness was a distinctive, non-trivial and frequently repeated feature of his dealings with female opponents.

I'd be careful, as a school of piranha can strip the flesh from a man in five minutes.

The species common to MDB, exmodythicus apostisaurus is a paleolithic survival that should have died out millions of years ago, but somehow made it past the K-T boundary and spawned at the Trailerpark.

It must be all the old beer cans in the pond. Keeps the water warm.

The difference between a scholarly organization not publishing Will's work because of a few improper comments in the message board world, and a gang of Crips mauling a passerby on a street corner because he was in the wrong neighborhood is vast.

They evidently did not think it was, which is why they dumped Schryver. As the father of a daughter, I don't either. A man like that deserves a kick up the ass to remind him that we are not all 'good old boys' who enjoy that kind of stuff.

Blah, blah, blah...

I've followed Will's debates with critics for years, and saw none of them. The few that exist, relative to his entire posting history, had to be meticulously exhumed and made public, and the effort in doing so was not driven by moral outrage at his sexual insults to certain, what he feels are particularly ignoble critics of the church of the female gender, but by a desire to destroy his reputation publicly.

As both Wade and I pointed out over and over again, a number of his staunchest critics here are guilty of far more, and far more consistent such use of language than he. They, however, have never had their posts dug up for any reason.

You may give up the pose now Chap. Its run its course.
