What do you mean by "turned on" and are you of the belief that being turned on is a negative thing outside of the bedroom?

How embarrassing that I made such a sloppy mess of my previous post, Fiannan. Yes, I always find what you have to say in regards to polygamy very interesting indeed.
I have a TBM that I go biking with every week. When we drive to the trailhead, we often pass by women who are jogging or biking along the side of the road. Without fail, he will slow down and make a comment about them. He also makes comments to me about how his my wife doesn't like to get out much but would rather cook, go to the spa, or go shopping. Maybe, while he is raising his small children and they need both parents around, he could develop some fetishes related to what his wife does instead of these obsessions about exercising women in spandex on the side of the road?
By the way, I have a close TBM friend who has a big problem with his wife wearing garments. He wants her to wear sleeveless dresses sooooooo badly. he would love it if they could go out to dinner and see her in a shorter skirt. Sometimes I wonder, is this friend you?

However, with the weather turning warm, and the tops on women going down and the skirts going up, I suddenly wonder how far we should take the concept of modesty -- especially as it relates to fetish.
For example, there are men who are more turned on by bare women's feet than by bare breasts. So should we discourage young women from going barefoot? There are also people turned on by eyes, earlobes, even underarms. What about that? And on top of that, some guys find a woman dressed from head to toe a turn on.
So what should we do, go burka? Sad part is, there are probably guys with burka fetishes.
What's wrong with a woman turning a guy on? Only once that is resolved that it is in fact wrong would I then be able to move on to the other part of your question.

Nope, not me. Actually my wife is quite devout, but is not terribly orthodox in regards to garments. On a hot day she will wear a sleeveless top when taking the kids to the zoo or take the kids to the beach.
Oh, and sock puppet, I think you missed the whole point of my post.

I have never in my entire life met an active Mormon woman who admits she is willing to do such a thing. I have never before witnessed a Mormon woman I'm acquainted with do such a thing.
Are you sure your wife is devout? That makes no sense to me whatsoever. Maybe you guys live in isolation from any other Mormons?
How does she answer the TRI question of wearing Gs night and day?

Ok, this is what I was thinking, but afraid to say.

It's not a Mormon thing, but just a general human thing, where I would get arrested for walking around downtown in my tighty whities, but I can wear a speedo to the pool. I always love how you walk in on a woman in a bra and panties and she screams in terror while trying to cover herself, but she'll go to the pool with you in her thong bikini.

I took your post to mean that no matter how much of the woman you cover up, she can/will still be a turn on, and that modesty in the end is a losing battle. The sex drive being what it is, the desire will be there no matter how much the woman in covered up.
I just took a step back, and find the whole notion of 'walking pornography' foolish. If god made us and he didn't want us thinking about sex, then he could have made us without a sex drive. (Ya, read that, Dallin?)

I personally feel that LDS should consider teaching married couples how to develop new fetishes. Just think of how that might spice things up!
A Deseret Book fetish would boost sales.
A metallic soprano voice telling you to, "bend over and assume the position sir or madam", would've course be disgusting but it may appeal to some. Ah, fetishes!
