Anything like this on coke or pepsi? Let it go coffee is not the boogey man you in your fearful and unquestioningly submissive state make it out to be. The church says bad must be badder than anything.

Ignore "why-me", he is an admitted inactive Mormon going on 30 years. He admits to being more active in Catholic Mass than Mormon services, yet he comes here to these boards and attempts to pass off as a true believing Mormon.

Keep drinking coffee. One cup a day never hurts anyone. But try drinking several cups a day as they do in some european cultures, and see what happens.

Also, decafe is perfectly okay to drink if one is a Mormon.

And many americans do drink decafe because of the caffeine in coffee and its effects on their life quality. Not good.

Even from a non-believer's standpoint, this is one of the things that makes Christian narratives compelling and powerful.

This is very compelling too:

New International Version (©1984)
Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.

New Living Translation (©2007)
Do not banish me from your presence, and don't take your Holy Spirit from me.

English Standard Version (©2001)
Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me.

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

GOD'S WORD® Translation (©1995)
Do not force me away from your presence, and do not take your Holy Spirit from me.

King James Bible
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

American King James Version
Cast me not away from your presence; and take not your holy spirit from me.

American Standard Version
Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy Spirit from me.

Bible in Basic English
Do not put me away from before you, or take your holy spirit from me.

Douay-Rheims Bible
Cast me not away from thy face; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

Darby Bible Translation
Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not the spirit of thy holiness from me.

English Revised Version
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

Webster's Bible Translation
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

World English Bible
Don't throw me from your presence, and don't take your holy Spirit from me.

Young's Literal Translation
Cast me not forth from Thy presence, And Thy Holy Spirit take not from me.

It seems pretty clear to me. And the psalmist understood very well what life is like without god's and the holy spirit's pressence. Very compelling.

I defend that which is good against posters like you who see evil in such goodness. I see no problem at all in what I do.

You do not practice that which you preach.

Agreed. The Christian god is a much more powerful and compelling figure than the Mormon God, who seems petty. Not that the Christian god doesn't seem petty at times, but not to the same extent as the Mormon God.

The socalled 'Mormon' god is a very personable god. He is our heavenly father and one can speak to him as one would speak to one's own father. Being heavenly father one does not try to offend him as one tries not to offend one's earthly father.

And yet, just as an earthly father forgives the mishaps of his child and hopes that his child will change his or her wayward behavior our heavenly father does so to and both the earthly father and our heavenly faither forgives when forgiveness is asked for. At least that is the way it should be.

The 'Mormon' god is much more personable and up close.

I do. But I am not perfect by a long shot. I know my limitations.

Not hearing any reports out of Europe about the "horrible" side effects of a few cups of coffee a day.

Coffee and tea are not allowed under the WoW, if it was caffeine was the issue then coke, pepsi and so fourth would not be allowed. It is not perfectly okay to drink decaf coffee if one is a Mormon.

And far more of 150 million US coffee drinkers drink regular coffee without any effects on their quality of life.

Why me, I suggest you pick up a good study Bible, and also, read the entire Psalm. Context is important.

In our sin we fear God. This is a Holy Fear, which is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Psalmist is expressing this fear, praising God for His Greatness and Mercy. How would the Psalmist know this Mercy? Any who have experienced the Fear of God know, that the fear of God casting us away is a result of sin. But God has not cast us away. In His Mercy brings us to Himself. This is made abundantly clear by the Sacrifice of the Son. This particular Psalm is a beautiful example of this teaching.

Also, please read Romans 5.

Peace.
