Aside from nemesis and his thread over there, not a soul seems to have mentioned it over there. It seems to have been nothing but a bunch of folks over here getting all worked up because of Nemesis. not really a war at all. They (the majority of posters there) essentially ignored this place, just as they were already doing.

Hey stem, I know of 3 or 4 people who were long time posters (reasonable and should have been valued) that were banned in the week or so of MAD's moderators gone wild week. Why were they banned? because they referred to something on this board that the mods were pissed about. And you comment on no one there mentioning this board .... it became a dangerous gamble of late.

I don't think Nemesis is ready to call a truce yet. Nemesis just wrote:

I have kept silent all weekend to see where things went and give Shades time to think things over and perhaps come up with a good plan to change his board from a staging platform for attackings members of this board to a board that discusses issues. Instead he has used the time to deflect blame onto me making his boards assault on Juliann and this "Board War" my creation. I wish to remind him that all this drama has been created by posters of his board and himself promoting such behavior. Even in Liz's attempt at reconciliation we see how she places blame on us stating they will stop attacking us if we stop attacking them. We have never started nor would I let this board be used to attack them. I will give Liz a lot of credit at the attempt which has been drowned out by the minority once again. If she can continue to try to initiate change there I think it will be a huge benefit to the board and allow for some real reconciliation and perhaps healing will begin. However we will no longer sit quiet while Shades's board continues to be irresponsible and allows attacks on people that have no involvement with their board.

I will continue to hold Shades publicly accountable for any more attacks his board hosts on the posters or administration of this board and will continue documenting their antics. If he doesn't like that nor want be held personally accountable then he can make a very simple change that will improve his board and keep real people from being the targets of his participants. It is my hope they will initiate such change and that this will be my last post on the matter.

On a side note a few accusations have come up and I wish to clarify and they are as follows;

1. I Have not engaged in any attacks on any of the posters of that board. I have no reason to.
2. We do not ban 78% of posters here. Where they got their figures is beyond me, the actual percentage is 10% including spammers and bots.
3. All threads that have no activity over 30 days are automatically locked to prevent thread necromancy so the actual thread closures are in the 1k+.

I've alluded to this place a number of times and i've never got a mention from any of the mods. I wonder why that is? But its true, generally, they don't see the silliness of whining about this place as all that productive over there, which in a way is a good thing.

huh? What did MDD have to do with that? I thought it was some random poster who did it all?

Nope. I too originally thought that way, but Nemesis/DanG recently taught us that if someone commits a random negative act, then the message board on which he or she posts most often is the responsible party.

So, according to Nemesis, MD&D caused our temporary shutdown last week and deserves all the blame.

I think that a more accurate description is this: Nemesis declared war, but none of his troops showed up. Next time, Nemesis should sharpen his call to arms rhetorical skills before making his declaration. Perhaps he could read Shakespeare's version of the St Crispin Day's Speech in Henry V. That's a hell a call for the troops to rally. But then, maybe the apologists are tired of having their butts handed to them, time and time again. Battle fatigued and shell shocked, Nemesis has no fresh troops to mount a board war.
