How many Church Leaders receive a 'stipend'...?
Answer: 854
First Presidency
Quorum of the 12
First Quorum of the 70
Second Quorum of the 70
Presiding Bishopric
Plus 340 Sales Managers (Mission Presidents)
402 Accounts Managers (Temple Presidencies)
Guessing at an average 'stipend' of $50,000 (including cars etc) that equates to an eye watering:
$43 MILLION worth of tithing
Now you know why tithing is now a commandment...

I count 900 based on your breakdown for a total of 45 million, but I really am bad at math so I could be wrong.

Based on tithing projections made by the Arizona Republic (The AR guestimated about 4 billion per year a while back), and some simple on-the-napkin-scribblings: 6 million U.S members @ 15% full tithing participation (.9 million) X 50K medium wages per family X 10% = 4.5 billion per annum. Even if you go to 7.5% of U.S. members who tithe, you are still at 2.25 billion annualized.
The church and its stipend for leadership payments are a real bargain. The LDS church just might be the most profitable business / religion that has ever been spawned.
Kudos Mormon leaders. If only we could run the U.S goverment the way the LDS church runs its organization. Sure, 99.98% of every U.S citizen would be excommunicated and suffering from excessive guilt and low self-esteem, not to mention the dramatic decline in science (the citizenry would think that Adam was the first man who introduced death into the world), and a propensity of every U.S citizen to start an MLM, work as an account, FBI agent or become an insurance agent / "businessman", the United States would at least be in tip top fiscal shape.

Re: How many Church Leaders receive a 'stipend'...?
The big problem with this thread is that the leaders in question don't actually get their "stipend" from TITHING. They get it from the Churches business operations.
I just went on a Ward Camping Trip..... that was paid for by Tithing.
Thus, if you actually want to know what Tithing is for, that's just one example.
Tithing goes to the operation and spiritual needs of those within the Church, it's people.
Jon needs to stop bearing false witness.

For the record, I don't think this should be any kind of major topic - church leaders don't really make all that much monetarily. However, CFR on the above. According to the church itself, operating funds come from tithes - and operating funds would generally include stipends/salaries.

Weren't the funds to establish the "Church's business operations" originally tithing or other donations to the church from its members?

Major topic or not - the line of 'no paid clergy' makes them liars.

Yeah, I don't really agree with you. The general ministry of the church, thousands and thousands of local and area leaders, go uncompensated. In sum, I would say the statement is far more true than false.
