Mice have their good qualities. They will defend their young to the death. Romans thought they tasted great.

The more cats you have, the less trouble there will be with mice. Have you ever cleaned out kitchen drawers with mouse droppings in the silverware drawer and a grey dusty trail up and out the back of the drawer?

When I lived in a small town in Tennessee an old warehouse down the street burned down one night. Everyone on the block was inundated with mice and rats looking for a new home.
I did volunteer work for the local humain society and adopted a stealthy female cat (and her kitten) to the family. Rat problem solved.
I still don't hate mice or rats.
