Defenders, please show me real examples of "persecution"

Definitely! And un-Christian, to boot.

My teen daughter has come home crying a few times after an LDS friend said something that hurt her feelings. Just last Saturday it happened again, when her best friend told her she wouldn't be allowed to go to the temple to see a wedding because "no unclean thing can enter." She was quite offended and hurt at the implication. Again, it's not exactly persecution, but insensitivity for sure.

I am sorry for your daughter's experience, krose.

If I were that Mormon girl's parent, and if you gave me a call and told me what had happened, I would have a little sit-down with my daughter and explain to her that there are wonderful, good Christian people inside and outside the Mormon Church, and there are lots of Mormons that aren't so good, either.

It's what's inside that counts, not what building we can go inside.

I say we label all forms of religious persecution as invalid because the "the Jews in the holocaust, now that's real persecution"!
