hundreds of years is not a short period of time. My son, who is biracial, black and white mix, is quite a lot darker than myself. It doesn't take long to arrive at a darker skin in that sense.

Through evolution? That's what I'm referring to, not intermarriage.

No...that's not my response. I had questioned your assumption that Native Americans of today have the same type of complexion of natives in 600 BC. I mean they could have, and it wouldn't really affect my point. I'm just curious if we can know.

I wouldn't say that no. they very well gave more than a passing mention. But in the Book of Mormon account? I can see that it was neglected, as the book was written for other purposes.

I don't know. but I'd imagine if there are say a half a million dark skinned folks and 30 white skinned folks who intermix--the dominate color would be dark in a few hundred years.

It does not need to be astute based on what you said. Again I am not trying to be mean, but when you say what I quoted you on, it's obvious you need much more education on the subject. Perhaps you could start reseaching why groups with certain DNA are going to have certain physical characteristics which include skin color.
