Mr. Bob (Moderator Note) Personal attack deleted.Liz Crocket is hands down the most psychotic Internet Mormon I have observed over the years. This says a lot, by the way. He surpasses Mr. Jskains in sheer pathological behavior; this is not an easy thing to accomplish. Couple that with his boorish personality (not to mention copious grammar and spelling errors), reading his "contributions" to any given forum is tedious at best.

In this country, Pahoran, there was, for a time, an actual church membership department that tracked down "lost" US members. It was not the membership clerk of my brother's local ward who was calling me, but a woman in some Church department.

Maybe you should stick to pontificating about your church experience in your own country.

Kish is right. My father and I received calls from the Church looking to get in contact with my brother.

That it does. I didn't recall that the person who called me was a missionary. Of course, a volunteer tracking people down as opposed to an employee doesn't really strike my sensibilities all that much differently. Obviously you and I do not see eye to eye on this. You are very welcome. She certainly acted as though she were that dear old friend, but you wouldn't know since you didn't take the call. Every other time I have received a call from someone associated with the local LDS organizations they have introduced themselves as "brother" or "sister" so and so, and told me they were from the ward or the stake.

It must be nice to live in a country where complete strangers call you up and say, "Hey, Jim, it's Steve!"

So have you called about that "Do Not Contact" notice yet, or would that rob you of your fund of atrocity tales? I mean, we haven't got to anything as sinister as a casserole yet, have we? And who knows; there might even be someone with a plate of (gasp, shock, horror) cookies lurking somewhere, waiting to pounce!

Atrocity tales? Talk about ridiculous hyperbole (trying to win a contest?). I thought it was disingenuous of this lady, to be sure, but I would not call it an "atrocity." I am sure she thought this was a great way to get in contact with my wife. It backfired, since my wife was really irritated to have a complete stranger presume to treat her like an old friend.

I have tossed around the idea of calling to request "no contact," but it would only be for the benefit of my wife, who is truly not at all interested in contact. I actually like meeting with the local LDS people who drop by to chat. If it were up to me, I would welcome home teachers into my house every month. It doesn't bother me in the least.

We have Doctor Scratch quoting Dr. Peterson admitting that he did, indeed, talk about Dr. Quinn's sexuality prior to Dr. Quinn's dismissal even though Dr. Peterson stated today that he did not say that. Dr. Peterson even insinuated a threat to sue me if I didn't recant my earlier assertion that he said that.

Oh my. I don't know what to believe anymore!

Did Dr. Peterson discuss Dr. Quinn's sexuality prior to his dismissal? Apparently so.

So who is lying?

Dr. Peterson who states he did not, but then is quoted as admitting that he did?

Dr. Scratch who simply quoted something Dr. Peterson himself wrote?

I truly believed Dr. Peterson when he said he didn't do that, but now I'm faced with a quote from Dr. Peterson himself admitting to discussing Dr. Quinn's sexuality prior to Dr. Quinn's dismissal.

I'm stunned. Surely Dr. Peterson wouldn't lie about this matter, but then I'm faced with a verified quote that he did. This is perplexing...
