A few words for Shades (As I have watched from the back row)

I wholeheartedly agree Ceebo!

Thanks for agreeing, but the name is Ceeboo (not Ceebo), Ceebo is my second cousin, Mother's side. (This would have been a great place for the unavailable smiley) :)

I've known Shades for something like ten years and he has always been decent, honest, and patient, and worked extremely hard to create a board that is fair and open, with as little moderation as possible. He listens to our ideas, suggestions and has created a board that reflects what we all collectively desire. As I have stated numerous times, this board is designed to accommodate anyone and everyone who wishes to engage in discussion centered on Mormonism.

Among the things I have found most admirable/impressive/humbling (Concerning the way Shades has handled/managed the recent bizarreness sorrounding a very tough situation that has clearly (and by design in my opinion) forced him to be under the spotlight), is the clear and obvious value he places on a "collective voice" for his board. It has (and continues to) speak volumes to me that he publicly asks for, digests, values, and measures the opinions of all the members on this board. This, alone, is highly respected by a member of MDB that goes by the name of Ceeboo.

Let me tell you a good thing about Dr. Shades:

As a Mormon, I would naturally like to post on a Mormon Board, yet they have cast me out. No room at their Inn.

Here I have less commonality with my fellow posters and they very seldom interact with me, but Shades never the less lets me post. He has no stick up his butt that keeps him from being kind and acceptive. He does not emphasize partisan politics to such a degree that he must hold animosity toward those with a differing opinion.

I hope he and the board do not die by the sword, because they certainly don't live by it against MD posters.

For any Mormons who may be monitoring this from afar - there are far too many banished Mormons for me to be the solitary lost sheep driven from the herd. Use some intuition and introspection to ask yourselves why your internet shepherds are addicted to their unrighteous authority. This is one failing you can never accuse Dr. Shades of having.

This strikes me as very sad, unfortunate on many levels, and a collective loss for any/all who might never get the opportunity to have tasted the flavors of "moksha".
