Why wasn't "boil your water" in the WoW?
If the WoW was really so far ahead of its time and came via revelation to Joseph Smith from God, why didn't God include something as simple as "boil your water before you drink it"?

Even worse, it counseled people to avoid "hot drinks," which were a great source of safe water.

It is slippery slope to boil water because you might be tempted to make tea or coffee. It's like a gateway drug.

Wow, you guys are so hard-hearted. Here is what God said:
God actually told us to not only wash our hands, but our whole bodies, and to do it with alcohol to boot! It doesn't get any more sanitary than that.
The problem is that God's "prophets" got confused (they do that a lot) and emphasized the part about not drinking alcohol instead of the more important part about washing our bodies with alcohol.

Or use of cesspools (i.e. Septic systems) to treat sewer. Droopy, are you reading this?
Scottie,
Can we even ask such a question? Since when is God more interested in our physical welfare than our spiritual?

Joseph gave them the cure for cholera...what more do you want?!

And the best way to keep your hands clean is to not touch your little factory. It all comes back to following the prophet.
