"Later in life"? He died when he was 38. I"m not 38 yet but that seems pretty young, even in the 1840s. I guess his life of persecution, if we're generous starting in the mid 1820s, had nothing to do with this so-called "eratic behavior"?
Love ya tons, Stem
I ain't nuttin'. don't get all worked up on account of me.

Later in HIS life, of course.
The erratic behavior I'm referring to is things like running for president, forming the council of 50, having himself crowned as King of Israel (which is supposed to be Jesus' job), giving himself the title of Lt. General, destroying a private press, etc. You know, his Charlie Sheen moment.

Oh my! I just realized something. There is no Biblical evidence of she-angels! What's up?
Oh for shame, how the mortals put the blame on us gods, for they say evils come from us, but it is they, rather, who by their own recklessness win sorrow beyond what is given... Zeus (1178 BC)

There really should be, since angels were a postexilic re-imagining of the pantheon that everyone believed in previously. And there were certainly goddesses.

So, what happened Buff? The men who wrote the Bible screwed up?

Well, they were men, and they were masculo-centric. They re-imagined the gods into angels, but apparently they weren't as imaginative as they should have been.

Um, people? We have a problem here. Do you see the problem? Priesthood has been a male thing. Our theology has been a male thing. We need to create new doctrine AND new theology to get the priesthood into both genders. This means our core ideas - the events themselves - need to change.
What angels visited the earth to pass the authority to humans? When did the mother of our spirits visit Joseph Smith?
We need to create new scripture!
Who will be our prophets? Hopefully women and men.

We also need new female characters woven into the fabric of the scripture. We have access to the history and archaeology so it would be fairly easy to get the women in there.
