If you're really serious about not wanting to cause people pain, then how about some proof? How about a retraction or apology in the Review? How about asking Stan Barker to pull down a lot of those malignant exchanges? What, in short, are you doing to help?

Have you as yet ascertained whether D.Michael Quinn considers Professor Peterson as a main (or any) cause in his pain? What does Dr. Quinn feel about this? I think this should be a litmus test. If he feels that way, then maybe he (Dr. Quinn) should come out publicly and say so, and not let others speak on his behalf, especially anonymous others.

There's no question that Mike Quinn was irritated by the critical reviews that were published in the FARMS Review. He's said so, with considerable heat, in print.

I would be perfectly astonished, though, if he were to claim that I played any role in his departure from BYU (at a time when I was still working on my doctorate, was not yet affiliated with FARMS, and was teaching as a mere instructor in an entirely separate college from his), or that I was responsible for "outing" him as gay," or that I somehow managed to keep all 2000-4000 American colleges from hiring him after his resignation from BYU.
