Top Ten Enemies of LDS church

Post by _beastie »

The Scientology's list of Top Enemies has been revealed, and here are some of the people on the list:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/2 ... aul_Haggis

Of course, this list was classified and not meant for public view.

I'm wondering if the LDS church has a similar list. I'm suspecting it might, else how would it decide for whom to create a "clipping" collection?

So let's hear your nominations. I'll open the floor and say the Tanners would be at the top of the list (of course, Gerald is now deceased, so it would be Sandra alone).

The number one enemy would have to be Smith himself.

LOL, Spurven. True 'dat.

But I want a list that the church itself would generate.

I wonder if Quinn would be on the list. I know some apologists claim that they do not see him as "anti-Mormon", but I suspect that church leaders might. He did produce a lot of work that contained ammunition against LDS truth claims.

And I should clarify I mean a list generated by General Authorities, not apologists.

Dan Vogel?

Brent Metcalfe?

The inventor of the internet (whoever that was) most likely does not receive a Christmas Card from the C.O.B.....

And I bet they'd like to spend some quiet time alone with Grant Palmer...

beastie,

Thanks for posting the link to the article.

Learning that folks left Scientology because of its support for Prop 8 gave me a chuckle.

The article reminded me of a quote from another board that goes something like this:

"If you converted to Mormonism, it is only because the Scientologists didn't get to you first."
David Hume: "---Mistakes in philosophy are merely ridiculous, those in religion are dangerous."

DrW: "Mistakes in science are learning opportunities and are eventually corrected."

Boyd K. Packer - seriously, has anyone damaged the church more?
