Where would you live?
This is even further off topic than most. The conversations in another thread brought it to mind.
If you had independent means. No need to worry about a job or income. Where in the world would you choose to live? Be specific if you can and tell why you would think this the best place.
I think about this sometimes when dreaming about winning he lottery.

New Zealand, the south island, somewhere around Christ Church. Or Sweden, in the Skane, in the area around Malmo. Or in the Turkish half of Cyprus, near Salamis, by the Roman ruins. Argh, I'll stop now.

I once knew a fellow from New Zealand. He couldn't stop talking about the trout fishing (which had me hooked). Why would you want to live there?

Total fantasy? The isle of Capri in Casa Malaparte.
And I would keep a trailer in Northern Utah as a pied-à-terre.

Either Tahiti or New Zealand (will those Hobbit mounds soon be vacant?). I might keep a rock outcropping in Battle Mountain, Nevada as a reminder of where I least would like to be .

I took this about ten years ago.

No one has said Kolob yet?
That's surprising.
I'm going to say that my location is choice is across the street from Scratch.

I had an opportunity to spend a few days in Positano many years ago (never made it to Capri). The villa I stayed in was quite a walk from available parking, but not as big a trek as it seems to your Casa Malaparte (followed your link). It looks beautiful, but getting groceries home would be a task.
I loved Italy, but I don't think I would like to live there permanently. Your pied-à-terre :) sounds better to me, as long as it was near Alta, or Brighton. I miss the Rockies.

Gorgeous! I think I can see trout rising in that photo.
