I'm being all facetious and silly in this thread. We can't use those little smilies to clarify I guess. Oh well.

Can you describe something, anything, that is not faith promoting?

Well many things in this world aren't faith promoting. I suppose I can describe my caboos to you, but no one wants to read about it, save for a few. As my posts in this thread indicate I don't see how the Hoffman forgeries are faith promoting. Does that help ya? I guess being a little silly around here doesn't sit well.

Be silly if you want. Ill stop asking questions if you don't want to take this seriously. If not, I'd be interested in something you think is not faith promoting. Seems to me, that based on your responses, anything is faith promoting, even your caboose, since we are supposed to be created in His image.

Wouldn't it be a pretty big story? Anything faith-promoting (fictional or non-fictional) is latched onto pretty quickly by the LDS community and passed around in sac meetings. Wouldn't it be refreshing for once to catch those pedophiles BEFORE the bishop calls them to a position in primary or Boy Scouts?

Well I answered your question already, Fence Sitter. Here it comes again in bolded caps: THIS WHOLE HOFFMAN AFFAIR IS IN NO WAY FAITH PROMOTING AS FAR AS I CAN TELL. Indeed it seems to be the exactly opposite.

As for the silliness I offered, yep, i try to lighten the mood sometimes, even though I can see I'm often unsuccessful at doing so.

Interesting choice of words - does anyone who believes in spiritual gifts like discernment have their head in the clouds?
