I merely point out that a TBM has a background of being "even handed". For example, I (not necessarily putting myself forward as a mod) have been fairly outspoken on this and the MDD board (the "enemy" of this board) in support of this board's methodology and venue despite the fact that antiMormons are the majority posters here.

This all makes sense Bc. Why don't you throw your hat into the moderator ring?

by the way, lacking this TBM evenhandedness, what does that say for MAD moderators?

Even handedness is not their purpose. But couldn't rfm and CARM be considered refuges as well? If MAD were the only board on the subject, they would certainly be in opposition to the Church because they stifle speech on the relevant topic. But because they are not the only board, they simply fill a niche that may be useful.

This is very true. In fact you've been more supportive of the board's "methodology" than I have.

I'd support you as a mod (not that it matters all that much, since I don't plan on doing as much posting as before).

I would support that as well.

BC has always been very supportive of MDB. He was also very supportive when I was banned from FAIR.

Even though BC and I have gone toe to toe on many issues, he is a solid supporter of free speech, and would be a good Mod, in my opinion.

I've volunteered to be a mod and would have no problem being even-handed. Just sayin'

I assume we're going for an:'

"Every member a moderator" approach now?

As long as it was understood that BC's mod powers did not include the ability to excommunicate liberal Mormons, then I would completely support him as a moderator if he decided to volunteer.

Zeezrom seems a natural as well.

Isn't that the idea on a free speech board? Everyone self moderates?

There are very few posters I would not vote for if they wanted to give it a try. Off the top of my head one I would not vote for would be Will or any of his endless sockpuppets.
