Looks like Rickie Reynolds finally got invited to the 1992 International Dungeon Masters Convention.

All of the stories were funny to me in unique ways. It's cool to see the different directions people took the backstory so far. I'd have a hard time voting for a favorite story overall.

But if there is a sub-award for best line or lines, for me it would be between two that Morley wrote. They are-

“Bella, will you go with me to the dance?” he queried, while adjusting his beaver.

and

Little did Bella or Brian know that Moroni had surreptitiously super glued them all together. He had secretly sealed himself to them both. For time and all eternity.

I lol'd when I read both.

I just reread Morley's whole story again and it may be pulling ahead for me. The subtle touches like multiple words in a row beginning with the same sound, phrases like "stand on the "no tape""...it's winning me over.

But I thought I'd point out the subtle humor I found in Turkey's post. I liked how the last line seems like a sly commentary on Mormon beliefs in general.

I think Wisdom Seeker gets points for taking the bold move of having the boys find something special between them that night.

I'd give Stak huge points for getting outside of the box with the 3-guy scenario. But dude, Mormons write in journals. So half point reduction. Otherwise, awesome. Randy deleted.? I lol'd. I will have to back Stak on the censorship charge here. There may be a good reason for it, but it's censorship in a way that doesn't sit well with me.

Anyway, enough Debbie Downer.

Right now madeleine stands out as the person who worked the funky pink castle into the story the best.

It's tough competition, but I think someone can come in and still take it if they're willing to try.

It doesn't make any sense. Who is gonna google Randy deleted and immediately link it to someone with a totally different first name, and no context to go off of? Rachel deleted isn't even the same sex! What kind of precedent is this? Now if it even resembles a name it must be deleted? If a name shares 3 phonemes with a protected name the red pen comes out?

Truth be told, I think this is a case where the cure will end up being worse than the disease. I had no idea. I do now. I think it was a common enough name most people wouldn't have made any such connection. Oh well.
