Do you have doctrinal sources to back up anything you are saying? Where does church doctrine say that everyone in the CK will all be sealed together?

Well it is just that--the gospel of Stem. I'm not looking anything up. If one person is sealed to another, and that other is sealed to yet another, and that other is sealed to even another, then where is the line broken? It seems like the line will extend to each person and eventually to God Himself. But as for looking something up...ahhh...take it or leave it. I'm just offering my take right now, without worrying too much if its all that doctrinally sound, whatever that's supposed to mean.

That's exactly the point of this thread.

People have a need to believe that "it will all work out", even though there is absolutely no doctrinal basis to believe it.

But what if it doesn't "all work out in the end"?

The laws are given. God cannot bend or break His own laws, or he will cease to be God. In fact, many Mormons argue that they aren't even HIS laws. He is subject to either another higher God or the natural laws of the universe.

Once again, this is the whole point of the great apostasy. God CANNOT bend or break His own laws, therefore a restoration was necessary to re-establish the priesthood on Earth.

What do mean "no doctrinal basis to believe it"? Joseph Smith himself saw his bro Alvin in the Celestial kingdom. Indeed there is doctrine basis to expect exceptions to the general rules.

But what if it doesn't "all work out in the end"?

I don't know. The reason for the would probably vary for each case.

The laws are given. God cannot bend or break His own laws, or he will cease to be God. In fact, many Mormons argue that they aren't even HIS laws. He is subject to either another higher God or the natural laws of the universe.

We also know there is room to accomodate exceptions to the rules. However it happens, whether God can bend the laws or forces above Him take it up, it doesn't matter. There are exceptions to the general rules.

Once again, this is the whole point of the great apostasy. God CANNOT bend or break His own laws, therefore a restoration was necessary to re-establish the priesthood on Earth.

the priesthood was necessary to accomodate the laws. There are ways for God to work around the laws to accomodate exceptions, obviously. What's the big fuss?

Why wasn't an exception made to transfer the priesthood to the Pope? Why did the priesthood die out?

I don't know th emind of God, if that's what you're thinking. It was apparently decided that the "keys" to administer the priesthood would not be passed on to another back in the day. Perhaps God thought the priesthood would be desecrated. I trust Him.

You trust God? Is that another way of saying you trust the Church?

Well, God himself has not said a word on the matter of the apostasy and restoration. You're not getting it from the horse's mouth.

eh...Buffalo, need I remind you, you don't believe in God. To you there is no God to say a word on anything. If He spoke to you in vision, it wouldn't be Him, it'd be a figment of your imagination. If He truly spoke to me, and I couldn't verify it through other witnesses or something, you'd have to deny it (which is fine).

Nevertheless, under your belief paradigm, god has not spoken to you about this directly. You're getting it from the church. So are you really trusting god here, or are you trusting that church is accurately speaking for god?
