Ah, okay, thank you, Blixa. I am undergoing a program of educational remediation via youtube as I type this. The need to keep learning never ends.

Please share with the rest of us who are too lazy to do the research ourselves?

From Juliann’s Diary, February 2nd 1985

Today couldn’t have been any better. Droopy, Pahoran and I partied like it was 1999 (to borrow a lyric from my favorite new song) at the Stake Dance. We are all still so excited about BYU being crowned the 1984 National Champions. I agree with Droopy and Pahoran, that this is the first of many, many more National Championships in football soon to come.

I was a little disappointed in the song selection tonight, especially by that new artist who calls herself Madonna. Who is she kidding? She will never last. Droopy also feels that her leftist anti-Zionist’s lyrics are a sure guarantee that her popularity will soon fade and nobody will remember her. I wish I could ban Madonna from the airwaves.

Speaking of Droopy, I never understand what he is trying to say. God help me, but I do love his passionate, but utterly incomprehensible rantings. It makes me spiritually horny for him. Sometimes I long for him, just like the Jaradites longed for fresh air. Just today, he was rambling on about how Hollywood elites and their leftist agenda and propaganda are destroying this country. He specifically mentioned a new actor named Tom Cruise and his leftist movie called “Top Gun”. He said nobody would remember Tom Cruise. His star was fading fast.

I’m still on a spiritual high from last week’s fireside by Louis Midgley. It was fascinating. Brother Midgley talked about the new and exciting field of “genetic testing”. Brother Midgley said that it will only be a few more years until the Book of Mormon will be proved to a scientific certainty by testing Native Americans. It’s hard not to feel a little prideful in the knowledge that shortly everyone will have to admit that all Native Americans are direct descendants of Jewish people.

Lately Droopy and Pahoran have been acting strange and not including me in their activities. Last week they didn’t invite me to the Liza Minnelli concert. They have also been going to a lot of dinner theater without me too. It seems like they would rather spend their time discussing their Elton John records and debating why Rock Hudson is the greatest actor, than spend time with me. I probably shouldn’t worry. It’s probably just a phase, but I still wish I could ban their behavior.

Speaking of feeling left out. I would like to someday create a place where all people could come and feel welcome and not be afraid to discuss their different opinions without the fear of reprisal. Believe me Dear Diary, I am going to make that happen.

I'm all for being a libertarian and granting almost unlimited free speech rights, but I also see some father going ape over this thread and doing something about it.

I can certainly see you going ape if those were your kids, now in their 40s, but what exactly what would you do about it?
