There was also BC-Space who showed interest I believe.
I did not actually volunteer by sending a pm to Dr Shades and so no poll. Am still considering it and likely am taking too long to do so. Maybe next time. But thanks for thinking of me.

But yeah, I will enforce the moderator policies of the board as you've laid them out to the best of my ability. If I disagree too strongly with some policy, I'll just step down. I'm about as unemotional in my decision-making process as they realistically come, and I'll certainly try not to be personally biased in any moderating decision I make.
+1
Shades, it's going to take me a bit of time to try and learn how you would ideally moderate in any given situation. But I'll do my best on that front - as well as keeping emotion out of moderation decisions.
For comparison, RoP is about 3/4ths Some Schmo and 1/4th The Dude.
Sounds like a science experiment that went horribly wrong...! ...I'm flattered by the comparisons though... :)
Simon Belmont wrote:Who the hell is "RenegadeOfPhunk?" Why is he being chosen as moderator when he ne posts here? I've never heard of him and I imagine that many others haven't either.
He was quite active about three or four years ago.

This really doesn't make sense.
Shouldn't a moderator be someone who knows the board, and knows the current rules?
So he was active 3 or 4 years ago... why did you choose him?
No offense to RoP, I don't even know the guy.
I support the pick. Ren is a really good person. It's true that he has been absent from the board for quite a while. However, he was one of our original members. He understands the board, and Shades' vision of free speech. He is even-tempered, and has always displayed good judgment in his posting style.

You're missing the point.
I am not looking for "counterparts."
I am looking for CLONES.

I look forward to helping you moderate this forum. I'll do an outstanding job, Sir.
