To paraphrase my favorite scripture, "Whenever two or more of you are gathered in my name, I'll be there".

I like this one from Numbers because it clearly shows that scriptures are either not from God or that God isn't the loving bloke religions think he is...
14And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.
15And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
16Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the Lord in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord.
17Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

Ezekiel 23:20
There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses.
There was any doubt this would be my fave?

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
I challenge anyone to read that without "Turn! Turn! Turn!" immediately starting up in your head.

One of my favorite Mormon scriptures is Mosiah 5:7:
And now, because of the covenant which ye have made ye shall be called the children of Christ, his sons, and his daughters; for behold, this day he hath spiritually begotten you; for ye say that your hearts are changed through faith on his name; therefore, ye are born of him and have become his sons and his daughters.
Another is 2 Nephi 28:13:
They rob the poor because of their fine sanctuaries; they rob the poor because of their fine clothing; and they persecute the meek and the poor in heart, because in their pride they are puffed up.

The Golden Rule.
Luke 6:31: "Do to others as you would have them do to you."
It predates the new testament by about 600 years.
Greek philosophy: "Do not to your neighbor what you would take ill from him." – Pittacus (c. 640–568 BCE).
Hard to argue with.

This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Those are satisfactory scriptures, Quasimodo.
People are too restrictive about what they call scripture.
